Supplying the Fishing Industry:
Ever wonder who can make money performing weird jobs? There’s a guy in the southern state of America. I think it was Mississippi. He was capturing and selling premium worms, huh? These were “the feed” for Fisherman who were competing in Big Fishing tournaments. There might have been other customers. What is truly unique, is not that he was digging for worms but how he anticipated demand for his product. By looking at his community and calculating ROI (Return on investment) he was sure it could work out.
Not many people would want to scoop out worms in the hot sun or rainy weather but “this guy” had a system. These goods would be shipped all around the country. And because the package were relatively light weight, cost were manageable. Demand increased to the point where he hired a small crew to help out with the collection, storage and shipping of worms. One of the most advantageous avenues of Entrepreneurship is reusing things people or business throw away.
Now I’m not talking about trash per say, just things people have no more use for. Take heed to the saying “One person’s trash, is another man treasure!” It has real relevance today. In this scenario, he only needed a place to scout for theses free specimens.
Custom Wedding supplies:

This next case involves a couple who was planning a wedding. They managed all aspects of it, from the catering, seating venue for the ceremony, dress outfits and napkins. After looking at options the wife was disappointed there were no companies offering custom handkerchiefs. Although this item would be for “one-time” use, it would also serve as a keep sake for those who attended. A memorable moment captured on a custom napkin! So the women initiated this idea with the assistance of her husband. The duo divided the duties.
Originally the couple sought out a company in China for the first large order but soon after, quality control issues emerged, they decided to have a local company manufacture the products. They built a website and are making pretty decent money now. All from having an idea, the couples needs weren’t met by any company, so they created a business that did just that! ..Just wonderful
The moral of the story here is that, the next time you say, “I won’t do that!”. Think about who would for a decent income. Thanks For Reading!
